Azoka Rugs - Our Signature
These 100% cotton rugs are woven for us by a group of mature and professional artisans using handspun cotton and traditional looms in socially responsible settings.
Our textile materials are carefully designed to last for years. Bound hand-sewn classroom work mats survive countless hours of use, repeated washings, and age gracefully into blanket softness. Azoka curriculum and textile products are distributed worldwide.
We work directly with our suppliers to provide socially-responsible items crafted to balance fair pricing, environmental impact, and consistently high quality. Although we understand the transitory benefits of mass-production, we find no substitute for the care, attention, and human quality of handcrafted materials. We regularly review and refine our products and offer them with great pride.
We are celebrating our tenth anniversary as a company, although we have supplied products for nearly twenty years through our partner, the Seacoast Center for Education Montessori Program. Azoka Company shares with Seacoast Center Montessori the simple mission of serving children by educating adults. We are happy to say Azoka products and Seacoast alumni find their way to all corners of our planet.

Seacoast Center and Azoka Company have provided products and professional workshops to clients in Australia, China, Europe, Southea, and the Middle East. We are a founding member of MACTE and are affiliated with the American Montessori Society.

Azoka Company is owned and most of our products are designed by Gary Davidson, Montessori Teacher, Teacher Trainer, lecturer and consultant, with thirty-five years of classroom experience from ages 5-15 and in teacher education. Gary is Director of Seacoast Center for Education.
